Writing Workshop in Kingston, Ontario, Canada
Free writing workshop* on Thursdays, 6:30-8 pm. Check here to find out where each writing workshop will be held weekly.
On June 26, it will be held at Pedal Works Cafe,
101C, 1412 Princess St, Kingston, ON K7M 3E5
Phone: (613) 650-1414
The focus on June 26 will be on writing a concept or question and a resolution with concrete images (truncated by a certain number of lines). For example, "Have you ever wondered why couples break up?", "What makes a good song, a good book, a good poem, or a good movie?", "Why is it better being old or young (choose one)?", "Why would you write? - Could start with the answer or the question", "What's your favourite animal or car?".
Come and join for the evening, whether you are looking to learn a bit about it and experience it, writing in a journal, writing a book (children's or otherwise), or poetry, this workshop is for you.
Writing with pen and paper, calligraphy, or simply on your computer or other electronic device (e.g., ipad or cell phone), or whether you are writing on your prized notebook or the back of receipt.
We are setting up a writing group among a subset of individuals, where we exchange our writing for feedback.
Let me know if you are interested - send me an e-mail (apj.ajohnson@gmail.com).
